Home Improvement Agencies
Devon Care & Repair provide a service to older people, people of all ages with disabilities, and those who are otherwise vulnerable and whether their home is in need of repair, maintenance or adaptation.
Devon Care & Repair is a service provided Devon and Cornwall Housing Association Ltd (DCHA) and funded by the Devon Supporting People partnership, which offers housing-related support services. This happened on 3 April 2006.
The role of the home improvement agency is to offer impartial advice and practical assistance to homeowners and private sector tenants who have to undertake repairs to their property or who require adaptations.
Your local Care & Repair team will be able to advise you on how to apply for a grant or other assistance towards repairs or adaptations to your home.
They will have information on:
- House Renovation Grants
- Home Repair Assistance
- Disabled Facilities Grant
- The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme
- The test of resources for housing renewal grants
