Planning Applications for Minerals and Waste Development, and the County Council's Own Development

As Minerals and Waste Planning Authority, Devon County Council is responsible for deciding all planning applications for minerals or waste related development. The County Council is also responsible for deciding applications for their own developments, for example schools. For all other types of development you should go to the District, Borough, City or Unitary Authority or, where appropriate, to Dartmoor or Exmoor National Park Authority.

From 6 April 2008, all new applications for waste management facilities or for a County Council Development must be made on the 1APP Standard Application Form and may be made via the Planning Portal.
