Waste
Devon County Council is committed to the principle of seeking to reduce the amount of waste generated by society, the re-use of waste materials wherever possible, and the recovery of the value from waste, for example, by composting and recycling.
To report waste spillage on the road please select Road Maintenance.
If you are interested in composting at home compost bins can be purchased from your local district/city council. For more information please select: recycledevon.
The South West Devon Waste Partnership, made up of Plymouth City, Torbay and Devon County Councils, has just been awarded £95 million by Defra to help create a sustainable waste management solution for South West Devon.
Roadshows (72KB - pdf help) are being held at venues across the region with information about the project.
