World Heritage Sites and Biosphere Reserve

Devon has an outstanding natural environment. Over a third of Devon is covered by landscape conservation designations including England's first and only natural World Heritage Site - the Jurassic Coast, the recently declared Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape (Cornish Mining) World Heritage Site (read press release) plus the UNESCO (United Nations Eductaional, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) Biosphere Reserve in North Devon.
