Flooding
Devon County Council is responsible for providing detailed plans to respond to anticipated and actual flood events. A Major Incident Plan (MIP) is prepared for specific locations where a)signficant numbers of properties are located in the floodplain and b) the Environment Agency can provide a suitable warning period. Each MIP, see table below, details arrangements for warning the public and evacuation, should that be required.
