Press Releases
From Pam Newby, Exeter 383262, October 03,2008
Improvements at Devon County Council's library in Kingsbridge get underway next week.
Work to be carried out includes better heating in the foyer, new carpet in the main part of the library and new shelving in the central area. The new shelving will be movable so it can be wheeled out of the way to enable events and activities to be staged. The first of these will be held on Thursday, 27 November at 7.30pm when Pat Holness of South Hams Radio will give a talk entitled 'Life in the Media'. This event has been organised with the help of the Friends of Kingsbridge Library.
Unfortunately, the library will have to close while the works are undertaken. It will shut at its normal closing time of 1pm on Saturday, 11 October for a week, re-opening on Monday, 20 October.
