Title:Active Life, Active Mind - The
Date:Thursday 9 October

Description: Local author Rowena House, whose WW1 short story "The Marshalling of Angelique's Geese" won the Andersen Press-Bath Spa University writing prize in 2013, discusses her research into the origins of the "Spanish" influenza pandemic, and other war-time events of 1916 which influenced her writing.
Audience:Open to anyone over the age of 9.

Description: Writer and journalist Rowena House - fresh from her appearance at this year's Bath Children's Literature Festival - shares creative writing tips about how to develop believable characters which ground your narrative. Practical exercises and lots of Q & A, so bring paper and pen and a sense of fun.
Audience:Suitable for anyone who wants to write fiction.

Description: Sing old favourites. Make new friends. Stimulate the brain. Jog the memory.
Audience:Not a choir, so there's no need to be an expert singer!

Description: A new service offering up to two hours free internet access, free support with using the internet, searching websites, setting up and using an email account, help with job seeking and finding out about benefits. We also have information on local job vacancies, where to find free help if you want to brush up your maths and English skills, who can help you manage your money and improving your job search and interview skills.
Audience:Open to all.

Title: IT and Coffee
Date:2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month

Description: An informal, social get together to help you with your laptop, phone, camera etc over tea and coffee. Bring your troublesome gadget along and get support from our trained volunteers.

Title: Bounce and Rhyme
Date:Every Friday during term time

Description: Babies, toddlers and their carers are welcome to come and enjoy nursery rhymes and action songs together and perhaps learn some new ones! Come along and collect a free nursery rhyme card and borrow a book.
Audience:Under 5s (with parents/carers)

Date:Fortnightly on a Tuesday, starting on 9th October 2012

Description: A friendly, sociable group for anyone interested in quilting, knitting, cross stitch etc. Drop by, bring a project and join in!
