Stover Country Park, owned by Devon County Council is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve.

The Park contains 114 acres of woodland, lake and marsh, heathland, grassland and a substantial variety of wildlife. It is also designated as a dragonfly hotspot by the British Dragonfly Society.

The Park features an Interpretation Centre which is situated near the entrance of the park and consists of a visitor centre, classroom, rangers’ office and public toilets (open 8 am to 5 pm).

Additional recreation resources include interpretation boards, an aerial walkway, a bird hide, walking routes, a car park and picnic areas. There is also a wealth of historical interest.

A coffee van is present on site daily between 10am- 4pm selling hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks.

Thank you. Please have a safe and enjoyable visit.

Please note we are currently undertaking a refurbishment and extension to our main building which will result in some disruption, namely:

-The Interpretation Centre is closed.

-Certain areas of the car park are closed, and the overall number of spaces is reduced. During busy periods (school holidays and weekends) the car park is likely to fill up quickly and it may not be possible to find a space.

-The public toilets in the Interpretation Centre are closed. Alternative temporary toilets are available.

-The rangers’ office is temporarily located behind the main building (in the green portacabin).

-There may be some temporary path closures. Please follow all on site signage.

Please see our route map for more information, we apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
