Awareness Day for people with learning disabilities
An Awareness Day has been
organised at Newton Abbot Racecourse to inform people with learning
disabilities, and their families and carers, about the range of services and
support that are available locally. [other news...]
In April 2006 Social Services was re-organised. Social care for adults comes under the 'Adult & Community Services Directorate', along with adult education services. Children's social care is now part of the 'Children & Young People's Services Directorate', along with the Local Education Authority functions.
