Devon's social services receives another good review
The Government watchdog, the Commission for Social Care
Inspection, has announced the performance ratings for authorities that provide social
services to adults across the south west. [other news...]
In April 2006 Social Services was re-organised. Social care for adults comes under the 'Adult & Community Services Directorate', along with adult education services. Children's social care is now part of the 'Children & Young People's Services Directorate', along with the Local Education Authority functions.
