Knowing what happens can help us understand the issues that people are facing and develop strategies to stop them happening again.
You can report an incident using the Reporting Incidents of Discrimination Leaflet provided below.
You may also wish to make a formal complaint (if you are a service user or member of the public) using the Council's complaints process, or use the Council's grievance procedure (if you are a member of staff).
If your complaint is with a School, you will need to contact the School directly. A different reporting process applies to School Pupils.
You can post the leaflet to the Corporate Equality Officer at the following address: Improvement Unit, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter EX2 4QU.
You can also submit the online (word) version of the leaflet below by emailing it to equality@devon.gov.uk.
The information you provide to the Corporate Equality Officer will not be passed on to anyone else without your agreement. Where provided, the following information is used in a general monitoring report: date the incident happened; directorate; brief description of the incident (for example 'racist language'); summary of action taken and support provided. Care is taken so that individuals cannot be identified in monitoring reports. If you would like someone to contact you about the incident please provide your name and contact details.
