Devon County Council’s Records Disclosure Service is a Registered Umbrella Body with the Criminal Records Bureau and provides services both internally to Council staff and externally to various outside organisations. The department is primarily responsible for processing Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks but offers additional services such as:

• ISA First requests
• ISA Adult First requests
• Referrals to Devon County Council's Safeguarding Vulnerable People List
• Advice and guidance on the CRB application and process
• Audit and information visits to customers
• Up to date information about the new Independent Safeguarding Authority Scheme
