Devon County Council’s Records Disclosure Service is a Registered Umbrella Body with the Criminal Records Bureau and provides services both internally to Council staff and externally to various outside organisations. The department is primarily responsible for processing Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks but offer additional services such as:

• Referrals to Devon County Councils Applicants Referral List
• POVA First requests
• Advice and guidance on the CRB application and process
• Audit and information visits to Customers
• Information on the new Independent Safeguarding Authority Scheme
