The way in which qualifications are organised has changed in the past few years, with the introduction of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF)
QCF is a new way of recognising achievement through the award of credit for units and qualifications. The intention is to make both the system and the qualifications offered far more relevant to the needs of employers and more flexible and accessible for learners.
Whether or not you are working towards a professional qualification, all learning and development opportunities should be acknowledged in supervision and appraisals and evidence of your achievements recorded on the training database. Keep all your evidence safe to use towards a qualification at a later date or to demonstrate to CQC how you have made use of your learning.
