The purpose of the ‘Devon Community Toolkit for the Natural Environment’ is to help provide communities with the basic facts and information needed to undertake practical action and projects for wildlife. Access to the countryside and involvement in outdoor activities has been shown to provide health and community benefits and Devon County Council is very keen to encourage the involvement of communities in the conservation and enhancement of their local environment.
