1. Minutes of the Appeals Committee meeting held on 5 February 2004 (Page 5).

2. Items Requiring Urgent Attention

Items which in the opinion of the Chairman should be considered at the meeting as matters of urgency.

3. Declarations of Interests

Members are reminded of the need to declare any interests they may have in any items to be considered at this meeting, prior to any discussion taking place.

4. Exclusion of the Press and Public

Recommendation: that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that each involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, being information relating to applicants for financial assistance from the County Council.

5. School Transport Appeals - West and East Area

Timetable attached (Page 3) together with briefing notes prepared by the Director of Education, Arts and Libraries and representations from appellants, attached GOLD paper section (Part II pages) (Page 8).

6. Applications for Assistance
