The District Auditor, Mr A Williams has appointed the 1st August at 10.00 am, as the date on or after which persons interested and local government electors for the area to which the accounts of Devon County Council and the Devon County Council Pension Fund relate may exercise their rights under sections 15 and 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 to question the auditor about or make objection to the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2011.
A copy of the accounts of the Authority and Pension Fund have be included below and a paper copy deposited in the Office of the Chief Executive, Devon County Council, County Hall, Exeter and are open to the inspection of persons interested for 20 working days (from 4th July to 29th July 2011) immediately before the date appointed by the District Auditor for local government electors to exercise their rights to question the auditor and make an objection to the accounts. The paper copy of the accounts will be available for inspection between Monday and Friday and the hours of 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. (on Friday 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.).
Any local government elector for the area may inspect the accounts to be audited together with all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto and make copies of all or any part of the accounts or other documents.
