The Imperial Hotel

The Imperial Hotel is the largest, and latest constructed, and situated immediately in front of the beach, and standing within its own ornamental grounds, gives it a privacy and advantage that cannot be obtained elsewhere. It has been the head quarters of the officers of the Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry Cavalry during successive visits of the Regiment to this town, which is an indication that the resources and capabilities of the establishment are of no ordinary character; and under the able and popular management of Mr George Mount, it meets with increased success each succeeding season.
