EASTERN VIEW FROM WALLIS'S LIBRARY,

SIDMOUTH.

A PART of the gardens belonging to Marine Place, and the short row of houses which, making a right angle with the beach, look westward, form what may be termed the fore-ground in this print. Salcombe Hill, and the bold and picturesque cliffs and head-lands, beyond which lie Bere, Seaton, and Lime, make the second division. In the extreme distance, a glimpse is caught of the yellow cliffs in the neighbourhood of Bridport, in Dorsetshire.
