The Library Service can provide paper, microform or digital copies of resources, subject to the availability of staff to undertake copying or scanning and documentation. Copyright restrictions, and the fragility of the original items may also affect the ability to make copies. All copies are supplied on the understanding that they are for private study and non-commerical research. Where necessary, purchasers will be required to sign a declaration form, or to complete a licence agreement where material supplied is intended for publication or broadcast. Copies and publications are available through the Westcountry Studies Library, Castle Street, Exeter EX4 3PQ Tel: 01392-384216, email exeloc@devon.gov.uk. Prices include postage and packing except where indicated. Remittances should be made payable to Devon County Council.

Photocopies (orders by post or e-mail)
A4 sheets 30p black and white, £1.20 colour. Minimum charge £1.50 for 1-4 sheets of black and white.
A3 sheets 40p black and white £1.70 colour. Minimum charge £1.75 for 1-4 sheets of black and white.

Digital resources
Copies of master TIF images on CD. £12.00 per image
Copies of JPG images on CD or as e-mail attachments. £6.00 per image

Archival master TIF images are normally produced as raw 300dpi colour files with no editing which might enhance the original. The Library's JPG images may have been enhanced for web presentation. The cost of new scanning represents the work involved in locating, scanning, archiving and documenting the resource. Please note that most images on the Devon website may be freely downloaded and used for private or educational purposes. In addition the use of hand-held digital cameras may be permitted in local studies collections to produce digital copies for private study or educational purposes. You will normally be required to sign a declaration form and the use of flash, tripods or stands is not permitted where this could damage the original or disturb other library users.

Prints
Individually produced prints from existing archival master TIF files. £5.00 per print

The original images are resized onto A4 160 gsm paper and posted in a strengthened envelope. Some enhancement may be undertaken, but normally images will be taken direct from the archival master TIF images which are normally produced as raw 300dpi colour files.
Please allow 7 days for delivery.
