The photographs numbered X01 to X80 in this webpage are taken from the archives of the Express and echo. Good quality copies are available from the newspaper's office in Paris Street, Exeter. Telephone 01392-442434, quoting the negative numbers, to obtain further information.

The Library Service is most grateful to the Express and echo for allowing the use of these images. It is hoped to develop the Etched web site with further information on World War 2 in Exeter and Devon. The title of each image is copied from the brief information supplied by the Express and echo. If anyone can provide additional information relating to any image, or indeed any reminiscences relating to World war 2 in Devon, please e-mail them to the local studies address at the top of the page.
