North Devon's trade links with Ireland
For many centures the ports of north Devon had strong trading links with various parts of the world. This page shows illustrations of some of the ports in Ireland to which ships sailed from Bideford, Barnstaple and some smaller ports. The pictures are taken from Ireland: its scenery, character, &c. by Mr. and Mrs. S.C.Hall (London: How and Parsons, 1841).
