MANGA MANIA reaches Devon Libraries

Manga books are graphic novels published in series and are popular with a wide range of ages (some books even tell you what age they are designed for if you are unsure). There are many different series and many different writers and illustrators. You could also search out Manga websites to add even more to your enjoyment.

Here's your chance to WIN a stylish graphic design set. Imagine what you would look like as the star of a Manga book and draw a picture of yourself in the Manga style!

The competition is open to both adults and children and there are two age groups:

• 9 - 12
• 13 years and over (including adults)

In Devon, most libraries stock Manga books either in the Young Adult or Children’s sections and some libraries have books helping you to draw Manga characters.

Remember - Manga books are nearly always read from the back to the front! - a fact which reflects their Japanese origins.
