The Country Mile Project
Country Mile Project Area
The area chosen for the Rural Demonstration Project was the A377 between Exeter and Barnstaple, the A361 between Tiverton and Barnstaple and the network of roads between them. This area was chosen because it offers us a good opportunity to reduce crashes and casualties and to learn more about effective casualty reduction on a variety of 'rural' road types.
