Travel training can help a child in many ways:

• They will have more confidence because they arrive at school or college on their own and not on assisted transport.
  
• They will have more opportunities to develop important social skills
  
• Once they have learnt to travel alone it will be easier for them to to make new friends and meet up with the ones they already have.
  
• They will be able to travel independently to other places such as the cinema, leisure centre, after school clubs, work placements.
  
• They will be less dependent on friends and family and have greater freedom.
