




Total length of over 600 miles between Minehead and Poole; Devon sections are 90 miles north Devon and 115 miles south Devon; comprehensively waymarked.
Passes through numerous towns including (north Devon) Lynmouth, Lynton, Ilfracombe, Barnstaple, Bideford; (south Devon) Plymouth, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Brixham, Paignton, Torquay, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Exmouth, Sidmouth, Seaton.
Nationally renowned coastal landscapes; cliffs,sandy bays, wooded estuaries, historic harbours. Walking varies between easy and strenuous, depending on location.
Coincides with the Tarka Trail for part of its route in north Devon; links with the West Devon Way, Two Moors Way, Erme-Plym Trail, Dart Valley Trail, Templer Way, Exe Valley Way and East Devon Way.
Train access to Plymouth, Paignton, Torquay, Teignmouth, and Dawlish; via branch line to Exmouth from Exeter and via Tarka Line to Barnstaple from Exeter; buses serve most of the towns and villages and on many stretches run parallel to the Coast Path.
