Definitive Map Review

Parish of Lydford

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of public rights of way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded or deleted. A review is currently being undertaken in the Parish of Lydford. A public meeting was held in May 2005 and the consultation map showing any proposals to modify the Definitive Map is now available.

Your views and any relevant evidence are sought on the following suggestions to modify the Definitive Map for Lewtrenchard:

  1. Addition of a footpath at Ingo Plantation between Footpath Nos. 8 and 10; Lydford Route 1 image - PDF icon (263KB - pdf help)
  2. Upgrading of Footpath No. 8 to bridleway between Lydford Bridge and Watervale; Lydford Route 2 image - PDF icon (417KB - pdf help)
  3. Addition of a bridleway between the A386 at Watervale and Peter Tavy Great Common. Lydford Route 3 image - PDF icon (310KB - pdf help)
