Definitive Map Review

Parish of Brentor

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of public rights of way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded or deleted. A review is currently being undertaken in the Parish of Brentor.

Your views and any relevant evidence are sought on the following suggestions for modifying the Definitive Map for Brentor:

  • Route 1: Addition of a footpath known as the Church Path between Shell Park and Christ Church. Grid ref: SX 4826 8152 to SX 4830 8144
  • Route 2: Correction of an anomaly regarding Footpath No. 4 at South Brentor. Grid ref: SX 4767 8018 to SX 4767 8049
  • Route 3: Addition of a bridleway known as Asheltor Lane between Higher Woodpark and Bowden Down, including the upgrade of part of Footpath No. 5a. Grid ref: SX 4731 8309 to SX 4681 8176

More evidence and information is sought on these routes, from current landowners, former landowners and anyone who may have used them.
