If you live in Exeter, there is a team of professional cycle instructors currently delivering free training to those who live, work or study in the city (post codes EX1 – EX4). This is possible due to Devon County Council and Exeter City Council bidding and winning government funding. This project is known as Cycle Exeter. The conditions are that this funding is used to promote cycling within Exeter. Bikeability is the new National Standard for cycle training replacing the Cycle Proficiency Test.
