International Walk to School Month 2008 is October

International Walk to School Month gives children, parents, school teachers and community leaders an opportunity to be part of a global event as they celebrate and promote the many benefits of walking. You don't have to walk all month, you can take part with any activity which promotes walking during the month.  Find out more about International Walk to School Week on their official website

There are a wide range of free road safety resources as well as those to encourage walking and cycling.
