Future Works
We shall concentrate on cycle links to schools and workplaces, these will include:
- Belle Isle Drive - improve cycle access and link
- Canal basin area - lighting
- Canal basin to Trews Weir [National Cycle Network route 2] - widen existing shared use path
- Countess Weir to Topsham - widening and improving existing cycle route
- Cycle counters - locate new counters where cycle use is increasing (especially following installation of new cycle facilities).
- Hamlyn Lane playing fields area - resurface and improve cycle training area
- Prince Charles Road - cycle contraflow
- Sandygate/Sowton cycle route - cycle link to Clyst St Mary and beyond
- Miscellaneous minor works on cycle route - sunken drains, priority for cycle routes over side road entries
- Dawlish Road: toucan crossing at roundabout
- Okehampton Street: toucan crossing and improved access to Exe Cycle Routes
- Countess Wear to Topsham (stage 2): widening of shared use footway/cycleway (NCN2)
- Digby and Sowton Station to Apple Lane: new footway/cycleway improving access to Rubgy Club and beyond
- Middlemoor roundabout/Hill Barton Road/Honiton Road cycle link: Further improvements to this busy junction
- Heavitree Bridge: cycle crossing
- Prince Charles Road: cycle contraflow
- Loram Way to Matford Park Road link: Improving access to Marsh Barton from Alphington
- Sidmouth Road (south side): shared use route from Digby Arch to Hill Barton Road: Imrpoving cycle access to Sowton Industrial Estate
- Station Road, Exwick: river/flood channel bridges: Link from St David's Station onto the Exe Cycle Route
- Sandygate/Sowton cycle route: Link across junction 30 providing cycle access to the city from Clyst St Mary
- Kinnerton Way to Liverpool Hill, Exwick cycle link: Improved access to new Exwick Heights Primary School
- Alphington School/West Exe College cycle link: Improved links to both schools
- Exwick Flood Channel cycle link: Completion of missing link
- Ringswell Avenue/Honiton Road/Sidmouth Road cycle route: Provision of shared use path and toucan crossing
- Silverton Road/Hennock Road East: cycle lanes
