Domiciliary Personal Care Service

Personal care and support in daily living tasks which allows people to maintain their independence whilst remaining in their chosen environment for as long as possible. To support this we offer on-the-job training to NVQ standards for basic health and social care tasks.

Community Support Service

A specialist extension of Domiciliary Care, usually providing more intense enabling services for a shorter time period. This service requires a greater range of knowledge and skills.

Intermediate Care Service

New roles are being developed to support specific service areas such as hospital discharge, rapid response and rehabilitation together with patient/user-specific conditions such as functional mental health, dementia, and stroke.

The above services are increasingly delivered as a partnership between the NHS and Social Services and form part of Social Services’ overall learning and development strategy. Joining Domiciliary Care Services can be the first step on an exciting career path.
