Post Qualifying Awards in Social Work Education
In February 2005 the General Social Care Council (GSCC) launched the revised Post Qualification (PQ) framework for social work education and training.
The framework has 5 specialist pathways
- Childcare
- Adults
- Mental Health
- Practice Education
- Leadership and Management
Within these pathways awards are set at 3 different levels:
- Specialist
- Higher Specialist
- Advanced
University providers offer specific specialist programmes set at these different academic levels.
