This Directory is a guide to all the housing related support services available in Devon through Supporting People. The aim of the Directory is to help members of the public to locate and access these services.

Using the Directory
The services within the Directory are listed by sector corresponding to Primary Client Group (PCG):
- Homelessness
(including: Complex Needs / Generic, Homeless Families with Support Needs, Offenders or People at Risk of Offending, People with Alcohol Problems, People with   Drug Problems, Rough Sleepers, Single Homeless with Support Needs, Teenage Parents, Women at Risk of Domestic Violence, Young People at Risk)
- Mental Health
- Learning Disability
- Older Person
- Physical & Sensory Disability

For each sector a separate file is available (see below) containing the following information for each service:
- Provider name
- Service name
- Primary Client Group
- Secondary Client Group
- PCG age range
- Service type: accommodation based / floating support / community & social alarm
- Service duration: short / long term
- District where service is delivered

Definitions
Short term support – any service which is meant to provide support for up to 2 years. The aim is to eventually move people to more long-term independent living.
Long term support – offers support which may continue throughout a person’s life.
Accommodation based service - this is a service in which the provision of housing support is linked to the provision of some form of accommodation.
Floating Support service - this is visiting housing support delivered to people outside of an accommodation based scheme.

How to find a service
To find a required service:
- click on the relevant Directory
- search for a service
- once you have found the required service contact the provider for more information and to make a referral using Providers' contact details (10KB - pdf help)

The Directory is a temporary measure until a more sophisticated search facility is developed and made available to the public.  The accuracy of information depends on the quality of information submitted by providers. The Directory will be continuously reviewed and updated.
