How the Provider Engagement Network (PEN) is organised
The County Strategic Provider Group meets 4 times a year.
The 3 Locality Provider Forums meet twice a year:
- in November there are 3 area meetings for all providers in North, East and South Devon.
- In May we hold central Forums for all community-based providers and all residential providers, held in Exeter on the same day with one group meeting in the morning and the other in the afternoon, so enabling lunch-time networking opportunities.
There are 4 PEN sub-groups working in the following areas
- Joint Strategic Commissioning and Procurement (including the Residential and Nursing Care Fee Structure Task & Finish Group)
- Quality & Improvement (including the Resdiential and Nursing Task and Finish Group)
- Communication
- Workforce Development
An annual Devon Care Training Conference is held every autumn. This year it took place on 16th September 2011 at Westpoint Arena.

Meetings, minutes & agendas
PEN Meeting to take place on 11th May at Sandy Park. the mroning part of for Residential providers and will start at 0930 and the afternoon is for Community based providers and will start at 1400.
