'Living well with dementia in Devon' (366KB - pdf help) is a joint commissioning Strategy which lays out Devon’s response to the National Dementia Strategy for 2009 – 2013. which aims to ensure that significant improvements are made to dementia services across three key areas:

• improved awareness
• earlier diagnosis and intervention
• a higher quality of care.

South West Dementia Awareness Campaign

The South West England Strategic Health Authority have launched a regional dementia awareness campaign in partnership with Northcliffe Press. The campaign will include editorial and advertising copy in a range of newspapers from Bath down to Cornwall with celebrity interviews, human interest pieces and advice and information. There will also be a survey on dementia awareness and support received on a leaflet inserted into newspapers and a special dementia awareness website.
