Practical Help for Carers
Carers Assessment
How can a Carers Assessment help you as a carer?
If you are an unpaid carer you are entitled to a Carers Assessment. An assessment is about you as a person rather than the person you care for and looks at your needs.
It explores how your caring role is affecting you, and what might help to support you in your caring role and life. Here is more information from the Devon County Council factsheet on Carers Assessments FS610.
To request a Carers Assessment contact your appropriate local social care office. Contact details can be found here.
