Devon Cares
Caring for an Adult

A carer is someone who looks after a friend, relative or neighbour needing support owing to sickness, age or disability.
If you are a a carer you are not alone; every year 2 million people become carers. Many do not think of themselves as being carers; they are parents or partners, friends or neighbours, helping and caring for someone who needs their help. But recognising yourself as a carer can be the first step towards getting some support for you in your caring role.
