Visual Impairment
- Devon County Association for the Blind based at Station House in Topsham near Exeter, Devon County Association for the blind provides help and advice for anyone in Devon with a visual impairment.
- Royal National Institute of Blind People RNIB are the UK’s leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight loss.
- Action for Blind People is one of the largest charities in the UK providing free and confidential support for blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives.
- Guide Dogs for the Blind wants a world in which all blind and partially-sighted people enjoy the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as everyone else.
- British Wireless for the Blind Fund Our job is to try to supply radio and audio sets to all registered blind and partially sighted people who are in need.
- The Outside Clinic Home visiting Optician provide a number of services including Private eye examinations, Free NHS eye examinations (for those who are eligible), a complete dispensing service and supply of special lighting and magnifiers.

- Calibre audio library bring the pleasure of reading to people who have sight problems, dyslexia or physical disabilities. They offer a wide choice of books on standard cassettes and MP3 disks, fiction and non-fiction, for both children and adults. The service is easy to use and is absolutely free.

Hearing Impairment
- Royal National Institute for Deaf People RNID help people identify whether they have a hearing loss, campaign for change, provide services and training, and actively support scientific and technological research
- Hearing Concern Link charity providing support and information to people with a hearing loss and their families (formerly Hearing Concern and the LINK Centre for Deafened People).
- National Association of Deafened People offers support for deafened people who have lost all or most of their useful hearing, whether gradually or suddenly,and for their families and friends, to help them to regain their independence and enjoy the best quality of life.

- Hearing Dogs for Deaf People change lives. They alert their deaf owners to sounds we take for granted, providing greater independence, confidence and security.
