Housing links

Social Services have no legal responsibility for housing. We do however work closely with local district housing officers to ensure that housing is available for people who have particular needs for special housing, adapted accommodation or supported accommodation such as sheltered housing. This may then be provided by the district council or by housing associations.

Local District Council - Housing Offices:

Council housing is the responsibility of the your local District Council. They also offer advice regarding renting and tenancy issues.

Supporting People:

The main aim of Supporting People is to provide good quality housing-related support services to vulnerable people to enable them to remain living at home independently.
