Health Trusts

  • Devon Partnership Trust
    Works in partnership to deliver high quality mental health and learning disability services, designed to meet the individual needs of our users and carers in Devon.
  • NHS South West
    The South West Strategic Health Authority - known as NHS South West is one of 10 new Strategic Health Authorities across England, replacing the previous 28. NHS South West works with over 50 NHS organisations in the region to improve services for NHS patients, ensuring more patients are cared for at home, in new modern GP facilities and in new generation community facilities. NHS South West also ensures that new Primary Care Trusts are fit for purpose and will support Acute (hospital) Trusts to gain foundation status.
  • North Devon Health Care Trust  
    Acute hospital services based at Barnstaple in North Devon.
  • South Devon Health Care NHS Trust
    Acute hospital services (Torbay general hospital)  based at Torquay in South Devon
  • Royal Devon and Exeter Health Care Trust

Primary Care Trusts (PCT)

Devon PCT is the new NHS organisation responsible for delivering high-quality health services for almost three-quarters of a million people in the greater Devon area. The trust was formed on 1st October 2006 following the merger of similar organisations in Exeter, East Devon, Mid Devon, North Devon and South & West Devon.
