Welcome to Devon Trading Standards Service advice for Older Consumers

The Service has provided the advice leaflets below for older consumers in Devon.  In addition you may find some of our general guidance notes and leaflets useful.

If you need any further information about anything in these leaflets, or any Trading Standards matter, contact us.

Further information about crime prevention can be obtained from your local crime prevention unit at your local Police station.

Information regarding fire safety in the home can be obtained from the local community fire fighters at your nearest fire station.

Acknowledgement: The information included in some of these leaflets is based on the results of a project called 'Think Twice' carried out by South East Trading Standards Authorities (SETSA) and funded by the Department of Trade and Industry. SETSA looked at ways of addressing the trading standard concerns raised by older consumers living in the south east of England.
