Adult Protection

Vulnerable Adults: Foundation Training

This is a one day course which is aimed at all front line care staff of all agencies working with vulnerable adults.  It is a participative course which helps delegates look at their own values as well as giving them information about how to recognise abuse and what to do should that situation arise.

The course has been running since November 2002 and is delivered by a pool of volunteer trainers from across the agencies.  They are a very experienced team and feedback is consistently good.

There is a rolling programme at venues all over Devon.  These courses are very popular, and often over subscribed.  It is important therefore that, if you get a place you cannot then take up, that you let the administrator know in good time.

One of the main benefits of this training is that it attracts staff from many different agencies and this can add to an already interesting and stimulating day.

There is no charge for this one day course.  However, there is a fee for late cancellation.  Please see the booking form for details.

The course includes a light lunch.
