Exeter Carers Forum
The aim of this group is to support the carers' role within Exeter PCT area.
Meetings are to be held every three months, in tandem with the Exeter Carers Management Group.

Chair
- The Chair of the Forum will be a local carer, elected by the carer members of the Forum.
In attendance
- Link Officer "Carers in Devon" Joint Development Team.
Membership
- Open to all carers resident in Exeter PCT area;
- Officer representation from the PCT and the four Social Care Divisions;
- A County Councillor from Exeter;
- A PCT Non-executive Member;
- Carers Development and Support Workers in Exeter;
- Other individuals and organisations, e.g. local branches of Carers UK, former carers, etc. with an interest in carers' issues, as agreed by the Forum.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To maintain an overview of all carers' issues and services within Exeter;
- To identify local needs and issue which require an 'all carers' approach;
- To receive reports from local Social Care Divisions in relation to specific groups of carers relevant to that division;
- To monitor the effectiveness of local carer involvement and carer support;
- To promote local membership of the Carers Links Network;
- To make recommendations
- for action and to monitor outcomes;
- To provide an opportunity to share good practice and information on new initiatives.
