Carers in Devon

What is 'Carers in Devon'?

The 'Carers in Devon' website was an outcome of a project called ‘Carers on Line’. The name ‘Carers in Devon’ was developed to reflect an informal partnership between Devon County Council, the NHS Devon Partnership Trust and various voluntary sector organisations. The purpose was to reflect and promote the work and commitment that each organisation had to carers

The ‘Carers in Devon' logo was designed and has been used by all of the partners to promote services and information to carers such as the website, publications and events. The idea was simple, that carers could identify information which was intended for them by seeing the ‘Carers in Devon’ logo.

The website which was originally called ‘Carers on Line’ became www.carersindevon.org.uk when the project ended in 2004. It has been hosted and maintained by Devon County Council, but with input from a variety of partner organisations.  In the longer term the maintenance of the site will be the responsibility of Devon Carers Link, a membership network of and for carers provided by a partnership of voluntary organisations.
