Visual Impairment

• Devon County Association for the Blind provides help and advice for anyone in Devon with a visual impairment.
• Royal National Institute of Blind People offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight loss.
• Action for Blind People ensuring blind and partially sighted people receive practical support in all aspects of their lives.
• Guide Dogs for the Blind provide guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services that meet the needs of blind and partially-sighted people.
• British Wireless for the Blind Fund try and supply radio and audio sets to all registered blind and partially sighted people who are in need.
• British Computer Association of the Blind is an organisation of visually impaired people who use Information and Communications Technology.

• British Retinitis Pigmentosa Society set up for the benefit of those with RP. It is a self help group which seeks to help its members live with and overcome their visual problems and to bring relief by stimulating research into the causes and eventually the treatment of RP.

• Talking Newspapers providing national newspapers and magazines on audio tape, computer disk, e-mail, internet download and CD-ROM for visually impaired and disabled people who find reading a strain.

• See Hear Centre offers a free service to people with a sight or hearing loss - working and retired. We have a wide range of demonstration equipment with a try before you buy scheme
• Deafblind UK is a national charity offering specialist services and human support to deafblind people and those who have progressive sight and hearing loss acquired throughout their lives
• Sense is the UK's largest organisation for children and adults who are deafblind or have associated disabilities.
