By Car

From the M5

Leave the motorway at J30 and take the 3rd exit at the roundabout. This is the A379.

Take the 3rd slip road which continues on the A379 (signs to Exeter City Centre & Dawlish) and at the next roundabout turn right. This is Topsham Road.

Now follow directions From Topsham Road (see below).

From the A30 (from Okehampton)

Turn off at the slip road for Exeter (A377).

At the roundabout take the exit for Exeter which is Alphington Road (A377).

You go straight on at 4 sets of traffic lights. You will then pass under a railway bridge.

At the next traffic lights (swimming pool and retail park will be to your left) turn right into Haven Road.

Continue along Haven Road.

Once you have passed the Malt House pub take the next turning on the left which is still Haven Road.

When you are almost at the end of this road take the right hand turning by the ‘Wales & West Utilities’ and the ‘Devon Fire & Rescue’ signs. Follow this road passing behind both the gas cylinders.

The car park for Isca House is at the end of this road facing the river. Follow signs to reception.

From the A30 (from Honiton)

Turn onto the M5 southbound for one junction. Leave the motorway at J30 and take the 3rd exit at the roundabout. This is the A379.

Take the 3rd slip road which continues on the A379 (signs to Exeter City Centre & Dawlish) and at the next roundabout turn right. This is Topsham Road.

Now follow directions from Topsham Road.

From Topsham Road

Drive to the end of Topsham Road and then bear left on to Western Way. Continue along Western Way to Exe Bridges roundabout.

Stay in the left hand lane on the roundabout and take the turning to Alphington (Alphington Road).

At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Haven Road. Continue along Haven Road.

Once you have passed the Malt House pub take the next turning on the left which is still Haven Road.

From the North of Exeter on the A377

Drive along the A377 passing Exeter St David’s train station on your right until you get to the Exe Bridges roundabout. Stay in the left hand lane on the roundabout and take the turning to Alphington (Alphington Road).

At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Haven Road. Continue along Haven Road.

Once you have passed the Malt House pub take the next turning on the left which is still Haven Road. When you are almost at the end of this road take the right hand turning by the ‘Wales & West Utilities’ and the ‘Devon Fire & Rescue’ signs.

Follow this road passing behind both the gas cylinders.

The car park for Isca House is at the end of this road facing the river. Follow signs to reception.

By Train

The nearest station to Isca House is Exeter St Thomas on Cowick Street. From there it is about a 20-minute walk.

By Foot

From Topsham Road (15 minutes)

Go down Trews Weir Reach (in between Royal School for the Deaf and County Hall), taking the first left turn onto Belle Isle Drive and continuing down towards the river.

Turn right past the park, following the path round to the left and cross over the Trews Weir suspension bridge over the river.

Follow path round to right and cross over the bridge over the flood plain. Turn right at the end of this bridge and follow the path.

You will see Isca House on your left on the other side of the canal.

Cross over the two small bridges at the end of this path and turn left to walk back up the canal passing a pub and a few terraced houses.

Then you will see Isca House on the right, up a few steps.

From Cowick Street/Exeter St Thomas train station (20 minutes)

Go up Cowick Street towards Exe Bridges roundabout.

Follow the footpath round to the right, past Pizza Hut, etc and onto Alphington Road. At the first set of traffic lights cross the road using the subway.

Turn into Haven Road. Follow this road and once you have passed the Malt House pub take the next turning on the left which is still Haven Road. Continue down Haven Road passing flats and then boats on your left and then a pub on your right.

Haven Road will turn into a path alongside the canal and Isca House is on the right, up a few steps.

From the quay

From the town side of the quay, cross the river using the large blue pedestrian bridge.

Turn left and follow the path with the river on your left and flats on your right.  At the end of this path turn right over a small bridge and then turn left to walk up the canal passing a pub and a few terraced houses.

Then you will see Isca House on the right, up a few steps.
