Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal obligation to protect your personal information. We take appropriate security measures to safeguard your data and apply security standards & controls to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

If you send us an e-mail message or complete an on-line form, we will use your e-mail/postal address and any information you provide to deal with and respond to your query or comments. This information may be disclosed to the appropriate office of the Council in order to deal with or respond to your message.

We will not disclose your details to anybody outside of Devon County Council without your permission, unless we have a lawful reason to do so, for example disclosure is necessary for crime prevention or detection purposes. We also undertake to only hold your information for as long as is necessary for providing a service to you.
