Provision of professional health and safety support and guidance

Professional health and safety services across Devon County Council are provided by the Devon Health and Safety Service. The team are responsible for ensuring the Authority has a comprehensive and effective health and safety framework strategy, advising on health and safety compliance and legislation, liaison with all enforcement officers and promoting best practice in the Council. This includes supporting service and establishment Health and Safety Co-ordinators and the provision of a comprehensive training programme

All policies, guidance notes and risk assessments are available on the Health and Safety site on the Intranet. This information is also available on CDROM to subscribing establishments.
