The Devon county ensemble programme offers young musicians the chance to rehearse, perform and enjoy music with others whilst reaching a higher level of musical achievement than may be possible within their school or local area. The conductors choose repertoire which will challenge the musicians both individually and as an ensemble, helping to develop their all-round musical skills. Playing in a challenging ensemble also develops high levels of shared discipline and concentration, helping young people to value both group and personal achievements.
