Devon Music Service and Dartington Plus have joined together to enable the choral theatre company ‘The Shout’ to lead an exciting autumn term project.

Four Devon primary schools are being offered a fantastic opportunity to work with this thrilling and energetic choral group. Initially, teachers will receive a pack with music and lyrics for Orlando Gough’s songs that the children will learn, and suggestions for the children’s own songs. A Shout animateur will then visit each school early in the autumn term and run a workshop for all the teachers involved.

Each class will have four hour-long workshops in which to compose a three - minute song about their identity or community, and learn Orlando’s songs. The workshops will lead to a whole day when all the classes come together with `The Shout’ to rehearse and perform.
